The key to transforming your life is by simply changing your habits. It’s not always about changing everything at once, but becoming 1% better everyday.
Life transformations are more about the things in your heart rather than how your body looks. Yes you can have goals to lose weight and want to look good but a nice figure isn’t anything without the right attitude to match it.
Think about the dream girl you’ve always wanted to be. What does she look like? What’s her career? What time does she wake up? What does her morning routine look like?
You might think, what does that have to do with transforming my life? It has everything to do with it. If you are ready to completely transform your life, you have to start showing up as her.
Put yourself in the mindset of that girl who has it all and build the habits that will get you there.

1. Build healthy habits
Truth is, you have to start showing up as her before you become her. Envision your highest self and work backwards. What steps do you have to take in order for you to get there.
Healthy habits are centered around the things that will help you be the best version of yourself. Some of these include waking up early, making your bed, eating breakfast before work, working out, etc.
The habits that you form will then help you build a routine. Routines are a combination of your habits that flow to the point where it’s second nature.
For example if you are trying to lose weight healthy habits in your daily routine could look like going to the gym before work, meal prepping your meals so that you are not tempted to order take out and drink water throughout the day.
Your morning routine could look like having quiet time with yourself waking up earlier than your usual time to workout before work, eating a nutritious breakfast after your workout and making a nourishing lunch.

2. Set goals for yourself
Goals give you aim and without aim you are lost. Create REALISTIC goals that will help you reach that girl that you’ve always wanted to be.
The key to setting realistic goals is that it has to be somewhat within reach but still makes you a little uncomfortable. Growth doesn’t come when you are comfortable.
Growth comes when you set goals that are difficult for you to achieve. This is when you prove to yourself that you CAN do it!
When creating goals break down your goals so that you know exactly what you are doing.
For example, if your goal is to workout 3 times a week a perfect habit to build for this is waking up early. What does early mean to you? What kind of workouts are you doing? What days are you working out? How long will the workouts take?
By asking these questions you are filling in the gaps of the unknown so that you are ready to go after your goals at full speed.
3. Forgive your past
In order to truly move forward and be at peace, you need to forgive your past. This might not be the picture perfect tip you want to hear, but it’s the one thing that will save you.
When we continue to hold on to things that it weighs us down. It gives the situation, person, etc. control over us. Even though the thing might not be physically with us, its in your heart and your actions reflect what’s in your heart.
Allow yourself to feel and grieve situations that have affected you. Go to therapy. Change your environment. Get the help that you need to transform your life.
You can have everything you want and still be empty. There’s a difference between outward beauty and inward beauty. Inward beauty is what people are attracted to. It’s the thing that makes you shine.
Transforming your life is not just about working out, cute routines and workout sets. It’s about the renewing of your mind and this will then be reflected in your habits and the way you treat yourself.
4. Commit to moving your body
You have to keep showing up. No matter what. Showing up will look different everyday, but you have to do it.
You have to flip the switch in your mind and decide that moving your body is something that you will do because you CAN not because you HAVE to.
Movement is a privilege. You choose to workout as a reward to yourself because it makes you feel better not because you’re punishing yourself.
Moving your body one day can look like going for a walk, the next it can look going to a Pilates class and another day it can look like hitting a full body workout!
The way you choose to move your body should be something that reflects you and your lifestyle. If waking up at 5am to workout is not convenient for you, that’s okay!

5. Don’t stop showing up
No matter what life throws at you, don’t stop showing up for yourself. Don’t stop doing the things that you love. Those things that make you wake up in the morning.
You may not always feel like it, but you have to keep going. By doing this you prove to yourself that you can, in fact, do it! You can do hard things. They aren’t impossible although they might feel like it. 1% better everyday.
It’s not always rainbows and sunshine. You can’t always wait to “feel like it” in order to do it!
Showing up is going to look different everyday. One day it could be getting out of bed and another day it could be checking everything off your to - do list.
Control the controlabels. Do what you’re capable of and the rest will work out.
