Are you ready to learn how to be your best self?

If you are on a journey of learning how to be your best self, I’m right there with you! Self discovery and blooming into the amazing woman you are is by no means a small task.

It requires dedication, consistency and patience! Give yourself time to grow, learn, make mistakes and get up and try again.

Today, I’m giving you the best tips on how to do this because it is possible! Once you find your groove, you’re unstoppable!

This post is all about how to be your best self!

1. Spend some time alone

I truly believe one of the best ways to getting to know yourself is by spending time alone. This gives you a chance to self reflect, regroup and set goals based on the vision you have for your life.

This isn’t always possible when you are always spending time with your friends, family, etc. Being alone grants you the privilege of silencing the noise and being present with yourself.

If this is something you struggle with I completely understand! If you are an extrovert this might push you out of your comfort zone a bit.

Try spending 10 minutes alone. Eliminate distractions and be with yourself. Cook your favorite meal. Watch your favorite movie. Journal. Just Try out different activities that you enjoy!

2. Date yourself!

This is similar to the first one, but yes date yourself. It’s kind of like the solo dates vlogs you see on Tiktok. Whether you are in a relationship, married, etc. dating yourself and staying committed to personal development is important!

Dating yourself allows you to show you as you are. You don’t have to worry about what other people think. Just focus on you. Show up for yourself. Get dressed up. Take yourself out (or order in) and find what you like. Side note, knowing what you like makes it easier when you start dating.

The more confident you become in yourself, the easier it will be for you to present yourself in that manner.

3. Invest into your passions

That dream you have…..yeah it’s time to go for it! While you are on the journey on learning how to be your best self, it’s important to invest into the things that matter the most to you.

No one is going to do it for you! If you have the vision, now is the time to make it happen.

This can look like changing career fields, starting the business you’ve always wanted to or simply just venturing out more.

Set realistic goals and go for it. Understand that investing into your passions is fulfilling but also requires hard work.

This process will teach you A LOT about yourself but so worth it!

4. Start working out

This is the one you won’t regret. Working out gives you an endorphin boost which means your body release happy hormones. Yay!

If you don’t work out, you need to! Not only are there so many psychology benefits but who doesn’t love reaching their fitness goals too!

Working out doesn’t mean you’re in a gym. You can enjoy outdoor cardio, Pilates, cycling, etc. Find something that works for you and go for it!

5. It’s time to go to therapy

Therapy just does what it’s supposed to do. If you’ve been considering going to therapy take this as your sign to go!

If you know you need to go, but can’t afford it there are tons of books, resources, podcast, etc. that are better than good to help you start your healing journey.

I went to therapy a few years ago and it forever changed my life!

Before you think there has to be something “wrong” in order for you to go, there does not! It’s definitely good maintenance for your personal development

We don’t always know EVERY single thing about ourselves. It’s good for someone to mirror our behavior so we can see where we need to improve.

When you do decide to take the leap (yes, it is indeed a leap) make sure you do your research and if the therapist is not meeting your expectations, it’s okay seek out another therapist.

This is your healing journey meaning it has to work for you!

6. Venture out

Old ways won’t open new doors. Trying new things is essential on your self discovery journey because you’ll never know what you might end up liking!

These could be activities that you’ve always wanted to try or something that has recently peaked your interest.

Also, it doesn’t always have to be activities. This can be in your career too! You are not tied down to something just because you’ve been doing it for a while.

You have permission to change. Your interest may change. You are human. That’s totally okay!

7. Surround yourself with positive influences

You know the saying, you are who you hang around. Yeah, well it’s true!

If you are always hanging around people that are going down a different path then you, this may slow you on your journey to becoming your best self and we DON’T want that!

Your friends and influences should replicate the type of person you are and want to become.

Don’t let anyone pull you down. You have goals to reach!

Positive influences aren’t just people you hang around, but it’s the people you follow and engage with on social media.

Evaluate your circle, inner circle and who you’re following on social media. Are they adding value to your life?
